Melisa Summers

Melisa was born and raised in Panama City and joined Emerald Coast OBGYN in 2006 as an LPN. While working for Emerald Coast, she graduated from Gulf Coast State College with an Associates of Science in Nursing and also earned her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. In 2015, she left Emerald Coast to begin her career as an RN and began working at Bay Medical Sacred Heart. She returned to school to finish her Masters of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University, and returned to Emerald Coast OBGYN in 2020 to follow her passion of providing exceptional care and education to women during all stages of life. She is board certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner and is currently conducting our pelvic floor rehabilitation therapy program. Melisa is married with 3 children and enjoys spending time with her family, boating and spending time at the lake, and cheering on her kids at their sporting events!
